Land Acknowledgement

I wish to acknowledge that I am a settler on the ancestral & stolen land of the Bodéwadmik (Potawatomi), Hoocąk (Winnebago/Ho’Chunk), Jiwere (Otoe), Nutachi (Missouria), and Baxoje (Iowas); Kiash Matchitiwuk (Menominee); Meshkwahkîha (Meskwaki); Asâkîwaki (Sauk); Myaamiaki (Miami), Waayaahtanwaki (Wea), and Peeyankihšiaki (Piankashaw); Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo); Inoka (Illini Confederacy); Anishinaabeg (Ojibwe), and Odawak (Odawa).

I honor their contributions and am grateful to have the opportunity to work on this territory. It is my personal commitment to continue to learn, unlearn and share what I have learned with others about the history of indigenous people and their contributions to our past, present and future.
